Post subject: '79 twin reverb problem

Hey everybody just got a '79 twin reverb a few months back the speakers needed a bad recone so i got that done and it sounds great except for the bottom end and low notes sound pretty flabby even when the bright switch is engaged anybody else have any problems like this or have any suggestions?

no sold mine in 2005 it was also a 1979 had mine from 1983 to 2005 had no problems replaced a volume knob thats it. now i'm MARSHALL,CRATE AND VOX half stacks man.

you may need a cap overhaul...
especially the main filter caps

Low notes take a lot of energy and you need to have
enough electical energy stored to satisfy the demands of the low notes.
When your tubes need a lot of current, the caps will have stored enough
to give the tubes what they want.
