hi..i lifted one leg off each R301 and D307 both check out ok...one thing that is kinda wierd is on the schematic it says there is a D308 ?? but i cant find it? double checked heater line from tube to tube all seems to be connected ? I am having trouble with my site and will post pix once that is straightened out

Rather that all of that unnecessary work, un-soldering, lifting, re-soldering, etc, why not first check your voltages and compare to the schematic. For example, do you have heater voltage, all power supply voltages, Plate voltage to each tube, etc. Much easier and informative to start with voltage checks. It is not always necessary to lift one leg of any components, if you know what you are looking for.

The two resistors that blew indicate a tube problem, likely an output tube shorted. You can certainly check voltages with tubes removed, although the voltages will be higher than indicated on the schematic, which is normal.

i just sold the amp for $120 as is to a repair guy ...he is going to figure it out then let me know..I am not sure how to do all those measurements? is there a article or video somewhere you know of thats pretty straight forward with pictures?.I will post info for follow up...thanks all.. JL

Reading a schematic, and checking voltages with a meter. Are you familiar with both/either? Do you even have a meter? But, since you don't have the amp anymore, not much point in trying to troubleshoot nothing.
