Chobey here -

Boy, I haven't posted anything here in a long time! Now I have a question on hand.

I recently bought a 1979 Fender Pro Reverb. I like to play clean and dirty. The normal channel is clean for days, and the vibrato channel breaks up real nice, especially since the master volume has a push-pull boost option. However, there is no channel switching. I just have to unplug my cable from one input to the other. I was thinking about getting an A/B box and splitting it between the normal and the vibrato channel. Is this safe to do, or will having two cables in two different channels overload the amp and rob tube life?

That's a good question, that I never thought to ask. I used to do that with my '65 Super Reverb, and I had no problems. And I was planning to do it with my '81 Pro Reverb that I just got yesterday.

Hopefully a tech type person will give more input here, but that's just my experience.
