I've been buying tubes for my Fenders from Mike Kropotkin at www.kcanostubes.com for over 10 years and he's been great. Tell him your amp, musical style and budget and he has NOS and new to recommend and sell you. He turned me on to the Mullard CV4024 for Fender phase inverters as well as the Mazda 6V6 NOS for my Princetons...

+1 for Mike K.

For new tubes:

http://www.eurotubes.com/

http://www.tubedepot.com/?gclid=CPfb94m ... 5QodDBtAvg

http://www.thetubestore.com/

Tube Store and Tube Depot sell NOS tubes also, but I think Mike K has a better selection and prices.

I have a Sylvania 12at7WA JHS Triple Mica in my Supersonic PI and a GE 12at7 Hallicrafter label in the reverb position. The GE made the reverb usable. It was to springy tinny sounding and I wouldn't use reverb. Now I set reverb to 11:00 now. What a difference it made!

My Sylvania is the 12at7WA JHS gray plates I paid $10 for. The vendor you listed the link for wants $64 for his JHS gray plate.

Price varies as his inventory and demand changes. I bought a sleeve of TMBP Sylvania 6201 (12AT7WA) for $100 last year. There is a seller on EBay that has NOS Siemens E81CC (6201) every now and then. These tubes are the quietest, toughest, best balanced, best tone tubes I've used as phase inverters, IME. They are mil spec, Munich made puppies. I think they were $180 a sleeve.

FWIW...

A lot of nice NOS and re-issue bottles can be found here......

Jim is very conscientious and works with his customers to select the best tubes to suit his customers' requirements.

I'll second Jim McShane as a good source. One of the few that test rectifier & output tubes under true amp-like conditions.
