Choose speakers with a combined power-handling capability of 150 watts (ie: 75 watts each) and you shouldn't have any worries.

For what it's worth, I ended up choosing neither. I found a '64 with two original Jensen C10R speakers and two WGS Veteran 10's. I may switch out the Veterans.

FWIW I'd keep the Veteran 10's and replace the Jensen's (on the best day they ever had, they're only good for 20-watts apiece).

The Veterans are also rated for 20 watts. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I know they're frowned upon, but the best speakers I've tried in a Super Reverb so far were re-issue Jensen P10R's. The amp was a '66, and these had been broken-in for 8 years. I would have bought that amp if it didn't have a loud hiss at all times on the Vibrato channel. Could have been an easy fix, but I don't know enough to tell, and I had other options.
