Found this on Craigslist. Seller says all original tubes and speaker and hang tag. He's asking $1275. What is it worth if you are sober.Image[imgImage][/img]Image

Minnesotastrats,

Wow! That is a very nice transition Princeton. Older 6G2 circuit with TONE knob (versus treble & bass). And different setup for the concertina phase inverter. I've never heard one of these amps. I believe this was the first Princeton to use push-pull 6V6GT output tubes.

Pretty historic amp. Be nice addition to the family, if the tone is between the tweed and blackface.

Could be little be expensive but many people will pay this price . I'm sure 24 hours later it already sold.

For vintage amp you can't waint for an answer you must know right now the price and buy .

Give us some feedback .

Tesla - Yeah... that's the one, but there is about a 6 month period or so that they had the black face cosmetics. The next generation would take the single tone knob and split it into treble and bass controls.

If its really as clean as it says, its probably priced about right for a 6G2. But this is Craigslist, not a dealer.... so it wouldn't hurt to shoot for a price closer to $1K. IMHO.

Yes, That seems correct. Been on Craigslist over a month and has lowered the price from $1675 to $1275. Has original Jensen 10" speaker and RCA tubes. I think it is worth only $1000 tops but I don't know.

I think that would be a fair offer. You can tell the seller you are offering $1,000 and your offer is based on them not having to pay ebay, paypal, and shipping fees. :D

Minnesota...good luck those are great little amps. And yeah six months max for the black face cosmetics. I have seen a few of the brothers to mine (NL, Dec 64, w/ separate bass and treble controls), but you don't run across too many with the transition black face/white knobs.

$1200 is top money for these in a shop, so $1K-$900 would be a good price around this neck of the woods. Don't forget to ask about the footswitch, it should be a brown one, with the brown cord to match the mains plug.

Keep us posted.

Well, it's been over 24hrs since I contacted seller. His answer must be no, I guess he's looking for someone with more cents than sense.

Or your email got caught in his spam filter or he doesn't respond to emails. Its not uncommon with CL :? If there is a phone posted, call it. Or send him a text.

IMHO - your offer is reasonable. While its nice the tubes are original - the original speaker is more important to the deal. The hangtag can be created or reproduced. I'd be interested in what other forum members thought of the hangtag. And does it really add any value?

FWIW - This is the best demo I've found of a 6G2
