There's a blackface Deluxe Reverb on shopgoodwill.com and it includes the footswitch.

Looks to be in good condition. Missing a tube..... powers on.

I'm not sure if this was meant to be 2 separate statements?

<<footswitch inside has one tube missing.>>

It appears to be a '65 through '67 model.

Somebody sure fooked up by giving that thing away!

Nothing fishy with Shopgoodwill.com. As Retrovervbial said, someone fooked up donating this to Goodwill, but its amazing what people will donate. Goodwill now auctions all the good stuff rather than sell it in their stores. I've bought a few things from Goodwill with pretty good success.

All of the auctions on Goodwill are "sold as is" - they have to protect themselves. But they try to honestly describe the items as best they can. They aren't trying to scam anyone. My take is if the pilot light comes on, its probably worth the gamble. Any issues are probably fixable.

Its a gamble buying from Goodwill. It can be a pig in the poke, but then it could be something really good. I've been lucky, the items I have gotten were what I expected. But I won't pay alot.... this one is already out of my comfort zone. :D

I stumbled onto the site a couple of years ago. Most of the stuff is pretty low end, but occasionally there is something of interest and/or value.

Each Goodwill lists things differently and you can tell some of the auction operators have learned a bit more about the gear and provide much more information.

There's also a silverface Champ on there right now. Now who knows if its really just for part if its only missing the fuse. If that's all that's wrong with it, it could be a good deal. My guess is the high bid will be closer to its actual value. :?

I have gotten two external speakers originally used for movie projectors or small PA's. One is a Bell & Howell with a Jensen 12P12 (Date code = 1949). The other is a 12" Quam in a wood enclosure, which has a solid maple frame with a pine exterior. (Date Code = 1954). I paid about $70 each.

A couple of months ago I picked up a 1956 Silvertone 1333 (Danelectro). Nothing says high class like fake tweed and gator. But it sounds awesome. Very dark sounding compared to my Fenders. The amp had never been opened. It was all original. The wire to the output tranny needed replaced and that was all (mouse). And of course a grounded plug was installed.

Well the BF Deluxe Reverb closed at $2,253.00. Seems about market value to me - hope it works out for the buyer.

And the silverface Champ - Supposed for parts only- closed at $328. Yikes. I think you can find an SF Champ on CL or ebay for $300 and know that it works.

Like I've said before, the Goodwill auctions can get a bit out of hand.

+1

As do EBay's, which frequently degenerate into weenie-wagging contests between those with colossal egos and platinum Visa cards.

It's amazing how the bidding goes. I see an amp listed for a buy it now of $1,000, and no one buys. Yet, the exact same amp might go for $1200 on an auction listing. :?

Arrogance + ignorance are always counter-productive.
