Hartley Peavey must've taken his design cues from that rat's nest!

Haven't seen one of those in decades, Steve......does it work?

Arjay,

That's why Steve has the Dynachord. It belongs to me.

I bought it in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1964. I used it from then until my last band in 1983. The unit has been stored ever since then.

After what happened to my Showman Reverb after firing it up after a 30 year "rest". I was afraid to plug in the Dynacord for fear of frying everything. Steve is going to try and ramp it up slowly. Hopefully it will still work.

Jerry

It's in the best of hands, Jerry.

I *thought* that thing looked familiar.

Anyone out there have a good set of 4-pin DIN to 1/4-inch jack and plug patch cords?

Thanks!

Steve,

The DIN plug is only 3 pin. :)

I am in the process of ordering some on-line.

No one that I can find makes a patch cord with those plugs/jacks.

Jerry,

Yeah, I knew that.

Well, the good thing is the unit ramped up nicely. Very good components.

I've only dealt with 4 and 6-pin DINs. Good luck with those!

Steve,

Already found them for $.94 each with metal housing instead of plastic.

I'm happy that it ramped up nicely. With any luck, some new patch cords will do the trick. I can only hope.

Thanks for check it out for me and the ramp up.

Worst case if you cant find one, look at mouser electronics.com...maybe you can find the parts to just make one. I've used them for many plug assemlies in my line of work, and they have tons of plugs, connectors, pins, cable...anything electronic really. their catalouge is the size of a phone book.

Sweet. I'm glad Beemer posted the photos. This isn't something you see laying around most guitar shops..... even the vintage shops.

If this were Facebook... I'd give it one of those thumbs up thingies.

Gee..... Not sure I want to say what I was doing in 1964.
I will admit that in 1983 I was graduating from college.

There are a couple of the 60s Dynacords for sale on e-bay for $1250. and $1295.

In 1964 I was in the USAF stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, A2C (Airman Second Class - 2 stripes), married with one child. Basic pay and allowances at that time was $289.98 a month. If I remember correctly, I paid right at $200.00 for the Dynacord. :)

Probably more information that you wanted . . .

Hell, back then airmen below the grade of E-5 had to have permission from the first shirt before they could get hitched (a carryover from the old "brown-shoe days").
