I last replaced it in the mid-80's with a Gorilla brand speaker. It just turned pretty fuzzy the other day. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

You need a new speaker or amp service ? How old are the tubes ?

I don't know Gorilla speaker, Champ need a 4 ohms speaker.

The tubes are about the same age. Before I replaced the speaker I was going to run the amp through another speaker to make sure. Gorilla speakers were big in the 80's.
Thanks

Try a Kendrick Black Frame 8. I have one in my 68 Champ and it is a great speaker and can take anything the amp can put out!

Here is the link to em. They are not cheap, but it is the last speaker you'll ever put in that Champ!

I went with a Weber Signature 8 15 watt in my 74 Champ. Really nice sounding speaker.
I also have a Weber 12a125a in my 5e3 Deluxe clone. Really nice. The one thing I did was to replace the phono jack with a 1/4" phone jack. With my Weber Z Matcher, I can run that little Champ through any cab I have. It turns the mild mannered Champ into a real fire breather when you pump it through one or two 112 cabs.

Sonic steroids when wired to a Dual Showman cab with a pair of D130F's!

" mid-80's with a Gorilla brand speaker "

rwdavis2,

Is this speaker like the one in the EBAY ad? "Nothing Screams Like A Gorilla." Quite a unique motto. :D
