Thanks, I may have to go that route.
The one I looked at does not appear to be authentic
but I may have to go that route.
Thanks for your help! Cheers!

jmallard just got one for his...see his thread. Being his just came in from Germany, I would suspect he got it from the same place.

Hi @ jamallard,
Did you get a Fender Super Reverb
faceplate from tubeampdoctor.com?
If so, how much did it cost if you don't mind me asking.
Also, is it a clone of the original?
Thanks,
dan_murph1

Hi Dan,

Yes, I got my new faceplate from the tubeampdoctor.com. It is a perfect copy of the original SFSR faceplate. Photos don't do it justice.

The price was 55.46 (GM = German Marks) and 37.60 GM for shipping. Shipping was really high. Works out to $120.03 in US Dollars.

For me, it was worth it.

The only other SFSR faceplate I found was here:

http://www.unclespot.com/faceplates.html

Scroll down to ""SF Super Reverb-Amp for a link to photos. It is only $25.00, but I didn't want something that beat up looking.

HTH

Jerry

Jerry, definitely worth it. It really enhances the looks. Does that price include a new rear panel, too?

Trying to queue up some F&T, Jupiter Vintage, and metal clad mil spec Russian PIO K40Y-9 caps for that amp.

Wow! Jerry that really looks awesome!
I hope that is something they keep
a steady inventory of. I don't have the 120.00
now but hope to before long. I wonder if
I should get the CTS speakers reckoned or put new ones
in. I'm trying not to detract from its worth . So I don't know
if different speakers or a non- Fender faceplate will
detract value. I'm such a newb. That faceplate does look
awsome!!!

Steve,

As stratele52 said, "No" it did not include a new rear panel. For the price, you'd think it would.

Glad to hear you are queuing up parts for my SFSR. :D

On the website the pictures are still active and the list shows "1" available. I guess the best way would be to contact him and see it is still available. I couldn't find a way to directly order one of his parts.

Dan,

I wouldn't know about their inventory. I have no way of knowing, but it appears they make them. I understand about the money situation, it is very easy to go overboard with the credit card. :D

You can find the black faceplates for a super reverb occasionally on e-bay and some places sell them with no name on the faceplate.

As for the speakers. I don't know what condition yours are in, but if they are original CTS, I would keep them and re-cone if necessary. IMHO.

I do an occasional search for the CTS speakers and so far, I have found none.

Good luck with your refurbish.

Jerry
