Looks like you did a nice job, the cloth looks tight and even all around...but what's with the color choice? There is repro cloth out there that is pretty close and would look much better...my vote, that cloth has got to go!

I agree with T2Stratman.

I'm not a fan of the color either. Ampwares.com lists the grill cloth for the Silverface Bandmaster to be this:

My vote would be to change it to this, but it's your amp. Still think it would look 100% better.

I agree with changing it but looks like you did a nice job. However if you like it that's what matters.

Yeah, I got this on the cheap, and I mean cheap, so I thought I'd give it a try first before I actually fork out the $60+ for the fender repro cloth. A few things came to fruition as well, like I need to build a new baffle for,the cab due to several breaks on the original one. Hopefully the next post will be with the new baffle and correct grill cloth.
Thanks for the input.

This is the only vendor I know who offers the correct color cloth in the extra tall sizes needed for the "big box" Fender cabs......

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fender-Turquois ... 587ebaba07

He doesn't seem to have any listed at the moment but you might shoot him a PM or e-mail and inquire about availability.

Mojotone and others only have the 36" bolts -- this fellow apparently has a roll of the extra tall 72" cloth. A linear yard will be sufficient for both your cab and the valence panel for the head.

Good luck......those big-box behemoths are a real *puta* to re-grill correctly.

You do a good job , congrat . But now put the right gril cloth to a better look . A Fender looking grill cloth is a must for a good looking.

i agree, it really tested my patience but i think this was a very good learning experience. At leastnow Iknow what steps are involved and how to "persuade" the cloth to get it where it needs to be.

You said it Arjay.

On your amp caddy, I'd recommend putting some 4" caster wheels on there - you'll find that with the bigger diameter wheels, you can roll that amp across mic/guitar cables without worry of the whole thing tipping over.

I've found Mark and Liz great to deal with, and this is a good wheel for the price.

Thanks to all for your input. I'm looking into casters for it now too, thanks for the link Ned.
