If you can't locate the original part, a field-expedient alternative is to use a strap-type handle from a blackface/silverface amp. Discard the steel insert and use the rubber sleeve only.

The only thing left is for Steve to do his magic on the chassis.

Finally got the drip edge re-installed, speakers mounted and new speaker wiring harness soldered in.

All in all, it was a fun project and I couldn't have done it without the tireless advise and support of Arjay and others. (Thanks Very Much).

The amp now has new or NOS; faceplate, knobs & beauty washers, tilt back legs, handle, chassis straps, corners, speaker wiring, red jewel pilot light and finish washers. I also painted the baffle board (front and back) and repaired two reamed out mounting holes in the baffle board.

Photos wouldn't be complete without at least one guitar, so I added my newly acquired Squire Vintage Modified Jazzmaster. Note: The bridge cover is from my 62 Jazzmaster.

The last matched quartet of serviceable CTS alnico's that I saw on Ebay went for $375 and the listing did not last long before someone grabbed them.

You gotta be quick!
