Anyone who owns this amp and can provide some feedback, as I'm narrowing my choices and Pro Reverb seems very interesting, especially made in 1965-1967.

Cheers!

Sorry it seems that we have tons of BF and SF Twins, Super Reverbs, Deluxe Reverbs, and Vibrolux owners but I haven't seen anyone here that has a BF Pro Reverb, IIRC.

I have always seen the Pro Reverbs referred to as poor mans twin or a low volume twin so that should give you some idea of the tone. They are 40Watts IIRC and therefor you can crank them a bit more to get to grit/distortion that you just can't stand to get to in a Twin...well at least without playing a stadium or making your first 10 rows deaf!

Actually, the Pro Reverb's "closest living relative" is the Bandmaster Reverb. Both are configured as a 40-watt, 2 x 6L6 platform with tube rectification and both use an under-spec output tranny that saturates rather easily. Power-tube plate voltages for both these amps runs 440VDC while the Godzilla-sized Twin Reverb pushes 460VDC (in the non-ultralinear models). The Pro Reverb produces a warmer, more compressed tone when driven while Twin Reverb never really breaks up regardless of the volume control's setting.

+1
As an owner of its closest living relative I would venture to say that if the the price is right then its definately worthy of consideration. The amp should be more than capable of providing gig worthy volume and tone.

Indeed, it's a great candidate for modding or conversion. As well, they're plentiful and they're relatively cheap.
