I replaced the ecaps in my Princeton a while ago and the schematic called for a 25@50 bias board cap. I installed a Sprague Atom 25@100. On another site, they said those amps came with 50@50. WhenI bought the amp for $150 after someone hacked it, there was a Xicon 47@100 in there. Thoughts. BTW, can somebody take their Princeton apart and take pictures so I can make sure everything is wired correctly? HaHaHaHa. It's a running joke.

This chassis dates to 1980.

Thanks Arjay. Actually, I was kidding about the pic-referring to the guy with the red knob evil twin. What is the value of the bias cap on the board. 25uf or 50?

Most PR's I've seen had either 25mfd/50VDC or 50mfd/50VDC OEM caps in the bias supply.

I like using Sprague ATOM 50mfd/150VDC caps to replace the OEM ones. Higher voltage rating makes for longer lasting, more consistent filtering.

Thanks. I think I'll change the Sprague to 50uf. I have a very slight hum with the 25uf. Thanks for the pics as well. Chris

I had a sprague atom 50@100. Replaced the 25@100 and the amp sounds great. Thanks once again. I love you guys

Forgive me. I just got a new cell phone and didn't get a chance to take pics of the chassis.

These are just fantastic little amps. I used my 64 princton last night at practice and was floored at how it preformed. I'll never get rid of mine
