So here's my interpretation of vintage modern. Just picked up the Bogner cab and I really dig the combination of the G12M greenback and the G12H anniversary speakers. Sounds delightful to say the least and they compliment my Bandmasters well. Just thought I'd share.... :D

I did something similar with my Bassman heads using those two ear candy 2x12's I had, untill
I found my 66 Piggyback Fender 2x12

That matched pair just looks sooooooo Good !

I hear ya buddy, I have that behemoth of a 212 Fender cab that I refuse to.....uhm I mean am unable to fit in any vehicle I currently own  . Sounds amazing but impossible to lug around. Hopefully one day I'll find the smaller 212 cab like the one you have.
Which leads me to another question. How does the current VM 212 cab compare structually to the originals? If they are equivalent or better constructed, i might just go for one of those and replaced the stock speakers.
Thanks.

Surely you jest......?

Vintage Fender cab: solid pine-board construction with finger-joined corners, solid pine interior cleats, screw-in (removable) baffle board, amp-head anchor bushings, tilt-back legs, real Tolex covering.

Vagrant Maggot cab: plywood and cardboard assembled with lapped rabbet-joined corners, permanent glued-in baffle board, chintzy Velcro-affixed grill-cloth frame, wrapped in bio-degradeable "vinyl covering".
