Friend from work sent me today. I'm good with what I have, but figured some other forum members may be interested...

To be clear, I have no affiliation/vested interest in this sale, other than Fender forum members finding and enjoying great old amps...

They're all beauts and priced to move.

The matching Bassman set is particularly tasty.

Yep - and I'm betting if folks showed up with cash, they might be able to finagle the seller down some as well.

Yeah Nedo, those are all great buys. The Super Reverb may be the real gem, depending on the circuit. Doesn't Supro live in Philly? Art

Indeed!

It makes one wonder why anybody would waste their hard-earned money on a "new" amp.

After buying the Bogen and a super minty '65 Tremolux (pictures coming), I'm feeling pretty Fender Full for 2013; will have to wait until next year to add another to the stable, although I have pretty much all the bases covered now...

That Pro looks like a good deal at a grand.

The SR is prolly a AC568 circuit. No sweat --- it's relatively easy to remove the cathode-tied resistors and snubber caps. And reset the bias voltage. If they have CTS alnico speakers in good condition... yummy good!

That drip edge SFSR may have the AC568 circuit. Not too difficult to spec it back to the AB763. My drip edge SR is modded back to the BF circuit. Note, the Torres described flyback diodes on the anode plates.

Talk major crimes...what was done to that Tremolux is purely criminal! That SFSR is sweet though!

Are we looking at the same Tremolux? Yes, shame it was spray painted black, but from the picture album, under the hood it appears almost all original -- these are the amps to get fellas. Had the guy butchered it with a master volume or other crazy mods or replaced all the blue caps with Orange drops, I would personally haul him into court.

Cosmetics don't affect the sound; original caps and period-correct transformers do. $850 for a '62 Tremolux is a pretty good deal, but again with CL there may be some haggling. Would guess $750 cash would do it.

Anyone who blasphemes a brownface amp of any persuasion should be drawn and quartered.
