Thanks ARJAY !!!

I picked this up at the IL border about an hour ago.
All original except three prong cord, electrolytic caps and tubes.

Came with a Mullard GZ34 too (as per the ad) I made sure it was there when I picked it up !

Never see a cleaner specimen ! with original Tolex and grill cloth !!!

I have a small bag of the original caps, the two wire cord and looks like two carbon comps, which he promised were replaced with CC's

I'll get you detail pictures in a day or two, I'm having too much fun playing it !

Sweet spanky blackface tones !

DAAAYYYAM...Now that is a SCORE Chris  That rates a couple of SCHWEETS on the ol T2 scale :!: :!:

One thing though, if you got this in Illinois...you are starting to encroach on the Stratmans' territory

Enjoy the new amp and we'll expect a thorough tonal report forthwith

T2

Chris,

Very nice indeed. Those 1950's era gray glass, black plate RCA 6V6GT's are the standard that all other 6V6GT's are compared.

That is one impressive amp.

Now to find yourself an original period-correct Victoria Luggage cover.

Lucky for me the guy had a new fender cover he picked up for it.

This is the only amp I've ever owned that I cover every time I'm done playing.
Its just in such pristine condition and I hate for it to get any scuffs, spills etc......
Yep its that nice !

Now do I keep the Clark too ??????
I have always loved the 4X10 fender sound, but man this deluxe has some notes that are soooooo nice !
Tell me I need em both will ya !!!!

PS Hey ARJAY
Who made that speaker and why does it sound so good ???
Supposedly never reconed and yet has such excellent tone and bass response.
