My old Ramshead Big Muff works for me, although sometimes I do use the green Sovtek big muff, little different growl to it, but i can't be without them.

I use several on my board since I run my Blackface/Silverface amps clean but my favorite is the Mojo Hand FX Rook. It's a swiss army knife. It has a germanium setting, a "TS" ish setting, and a "Klon" ish/clean boost setting. It's great. For overdrive, that's my recommendation into a clean amp.

For a distortion into a clean amp I'd have to recommend the RAT... It's a great little pedal and sounds killer.

With my Tweed Deluxe, I crank it at home and I use an Xotic RC Booster which just boosts and adds some sparkle. That's my boost recommendation.

And for a fuzzbox, I really like the Analog Man Sun Bender fuzz. It's a 1.5 Tonebender. Very creamy.

Thanks Krankster

Looks like mine is a 1.4 too. I noticed the version number is also printed on the circuit board.

I think the Fulltone Fulldrive is the perfect overdrive for a blackface. Sounds great with single coils or humbuckers.

The Fulltone 1.4 works great with the '65 Bandmaster.
It truly is "the pedal for guys who don't use pedals"!
The best response I think I get is with Filtertrons & Dynasonics
but also sounds great with Fender SCoils with slight tone adjust.

The germanium diode pedals seem to be a favorite. Just picked up a fourth Fulltone OCD V1.4 with a germanium diode from 2009. I have two pedal boards-big and small-and use two OCD V1.4's on each. IMO, it's the best pedal every made.

Great overdrives are also Menatone the red snapper and Brunetti Vanilla overdrive too.

For new stock, Keeley modded TS-808 are great OD stomp machines. The true bypass mod works.
