Yes we are! It's about all we have around here. I remember you saying we were around here. We talked via "messaging"about a year ago when I picked up my Vibro Champ.

No it was actually quite fun to watch! And the game last night with the Reds was just as good....your bullpen just plain sucks a big one this year!

Sorry I forgot you were from our area...if it helps I remember the vibrochamp

BTW if you are wanting a vintage Fender Amp pm me.

Bullpen sucks baseballs! :?

I want a deluxe reverb. Just not sure if I want reissue or a vintage. The price for a used reissue is easier on the pocketbook. I also wonder if I could hear a difference between the two since I never a/b them before.

Admittedly the start of this thread was based on a potential impulse buy.

Both amps sound good. But if reliability and dependability are of any import to you, the vintage Deluxe Reverb is the winner hands down.

Is there a "best guess" quantification of the dependability betwee the two? I.e. vintage 20% fail rate vs reissue 40%.

I wouldn't hazard a "WAG" to estimate those stats. But I'll tell you this: if you decide on the DRRI, the older the better. Those built ten or fifteen years ago are much more dependable than the newer editions. The year 2005 seems to be the cut-off point (when Fender switched to RoHS-compliant solder to satisfy some nebulous EU requirements).

I got it now. Anything before 2005, and your good, anything before 1985 and your golden.

A conveniently-useful generalization.
