Hello There Friends,

Well I need to replace the Speakers in the Silverface Twin Reverb. The speakers are 4 Ohms that it came with. It is a 135 watt RMS. I am wondering it I get 2 8 Ohmn Speakers and Wire them in Parallel which would then make the total impedance 4 Ohmns would work. I think this is how it is wired now. There is a red dot and its white wire to red dot to red dot. Then the brown to the brown. So I assume it is in parallel.

Both Amps have the push/pull Master Volume Switch.

I really am puzzled. I the SF Vibrasonic Speaker is a 15 inch 8 Ohm specker. It is also a 135 watt RMS.

Both have the dreaded Master Volume Switch which if you crank it to 10 then use the Channel switch you can get crunch at a reasonalbe volume for indoor venues. Of course with both voice coils out in each speaker the Twin is silent. However, the amp is OK.

Does anybody know anything about this?

Thanks
Bluespicker
