Whatcha guys think of this? Looks like lytics were done and some updating to the grid-to-ground and plate resistors on the 6L6GC and 12AT7, respectively All iron date to Schumacher mid-1963.

Thanks!

Steve...A fine example of the breed there! There is nothing like a 2 6L6, GZ34 rectified amp for some great tones. Throw in the 2x10 config and you have near nirvana!

Is this a new addition to the collection? If so Too Cool!

Arjay & all, well the amp is loaded with JBL D110Fs. Not one of my favorite 10-inch speakers. Maybe will get those 1960 vintage Jensen P10Q reconed. Can't wait to get this amp and A-B it against my VLR and Super Reverb. Really, these GZ34 driven dual 6L6GC are some kinda tone monsters.

But, we all knew that.

Call to OC Speakers...

Actually, the D110F's might not sound bad in a bass-reflex enclosure.

Have you played them yet?

Thanks, for the nicecomments, :D

It's being shipped to me. Should get the amp Friday.

Prolly go to a three prong cord. I hope this amp is as good as the other two dual 6L6GC/GZ34 amps I have. The SR and the VLR. Both are most excellent amps.

Keep you guys up-to-date.

More photos. Note the dark brown front and rear panel. Boy, those JBL K110 sound so good. Going leave them in. Sure makes the cab heavy.

Great looking tremolux!

I'm still on the hunt for my BF tremolux head. If anyone has any leads, let me know. Also if there's any that are beat up, modded, etc, that's fine with me...

Steve...what a nice amp...pretty damn clean too! Glad to see you replace those JJ's with some vintage bottles...of course we knew you would have something special ready for that amp!

Color me
