Blues...nice job with the grill cloth, came out really nice. Have you decided on what speakers you want to go with? How about some vintage Jensen C12Q's?...PM me if you are interested.

Thanks !
Sure is nice to have a fender cab for my Bandmaster Reverb.
I guess I'm getting more and more into having things close to original.
and hey why not, that old fender stuff still sounds amazing !!!

Now I own three 2x12 cabs and only 4 12" speakers worth talking about.

My real problem is finding a pair of excellent 16ohm speakers for one of the cabs that I'll use on that new Traynor YRM-1 head.
I had it for sale, had a kid play it and call back later saying he wanted it and would have the money the next day, I called him back the next day and told him to keep his money it wasn't for sale.

I found some crazy light overdrive sounds with those EL34's that no Marshall or fender for that matter that I've owned could top !!!
The reverb is so serious too !

Great job, Chris!!! Might have to send you my Band Master baffle for a regrill job. Can't seem to keep much straight!...... Beemer, don't want to mess with Chris's thread, anymore than I already have! But, 371= no hybrid cathode scenario(only the 2Kpf caps tied to the swamper resistors). Maybe I should go by"poppi" when we have two Art guys? Poppi

That turned out swell, Chris!

And my wife frequently assists as well when I have grill cloth work to do.

She also fabricates custom covers for my non-standard weirdo cabinet conversions (keeps her from feeling like a "guitar widow").

Beautiful job with the grill there. As far as speakers go, MusiciansFriend is having these really good combo sales. An Eminence Red Fang alnico, is usually 249.99 or more online. MF is selling a RF and a Wizard speaker for 256.98. They are calling it the Barkin' Blues set. That is like getting the wizard for free. They may not be your kind of speakers, but for someone who likes it, tis a killer deal. I love the 10" RF in my SCX2. Magic in every tonal area. So creamy.

Really Art1
I'm not like that my friend !!!
It does not bother me in the least if other members chat at each other in my posts, I'm not possessive of threads, most of the time we are able to learn something amp related.

In fact I tend to find a subject I like and over post on others threads so.......

Thanks for the thumbs ups everyone, I'm as happy as i could be with the cab too,
another great learning experience for me also !!!

So now when I get this drip edge 69 bassman done, i'll be on the hunt for another of these cabs.
What comes up for sale most of the time is the oversized monsters, small piggy backs are kinda tough to find.

Perhaps it's time to take the "next step" and build one yourself......?

Thinking about one of those Weber (Princeton R) kits as a head. Always liked the bias modulated tremolo(vibrato.) http://taweber.powweb.com/store/kits_60a.htm#6A14H

But then I would have to build a 2x12 cab. And then....

I have a "Kit" to build right now !
This 69 Bassman is a wiring nightmare, looks like under board wires flying over the top instead of sandwiched between the boards.

I'm going to rewire this one little wire at a time, i ordered 20 gauge green cloth covered wire for the heaters and 22 gauge yellow and white for everything else.
Looks like I'll need a little red too

Some day I will build myself a little tweed champ, just for fun and I'll use the very best of everything I can and it will be my pet

That's the way to go. Baby Steps! One wire at a time. (two in the case of the heaters.) Measure twice, cut once.

Oh! And unplug it.
