Greetings :D .... to all in this neighborhood :!: :!:

I'm rarely in this section, other than a quick perusal if a subject hits my interest.
But I have a dilemma and in need of a few solutions that I'm at a loss to provide.
Mainly because guitars are where I'm at and where electronic circuits as related to amps and all their complexities is out of my expertise.
Or in other words since I'm fairly clueless as to Vintage amp repair and diagnosis here I am.

As some may know me from the other sections of the Forum and I've posted a couple of pics of the hardware here and there.

The subject at hand is my old Magnatone 410......

http://www.vibroworld.com/magnatone/410.html

..... A very simple low wattage amp that when cranked has a voice all its own. It doesn't sound like any other amp of it's range.
The layout is simple, 12 inch speaker, Volume and Tone control, bright switch ( toggle ) 2 inputs, 1 external cab output, Vibrato controls....
No bells and whistles, no digital, no solid state, just a little kick $@! sound all its own...

However, having owned this amp since 1974 It was made sometimes around the early 60's I think 62 to 63 was it's production time. It is an amp that really comes into it's own as a studio amp or as your ( my Go To ) practice amp at home. The vibrato is just a unique effect.

I've played / play this amp with 5 different Stratocaster configurations. MIM vintage SSS, MIM with SCN SSS, CS 56 NOS ( sold ), 2 HSS, One Carvin pups the other Seymour Duncan. Last but long gone, a 59 Gibson Les Paul Custom.....

Depending on the guitar, this amp really changes its sound dynamics, with a hot single coil or HB set up, it is possible to attain a sound not unlike early ZZ-top. rolling off the volume will allow a cornucopia of Shagalicious Blues Tones. ( really cannot describe it any other way  )
I could go on about this but if one cannot tell, I'm very biased towards classic vintage sound, real vintage sound not a modded, compressed, digitized imitation....

On to the issue, I'm finding that upon switching the amp on and letting it warm up, there are a couple of odd hums emmanating from the circuits.
These amps have never been dead quiet, but this is something fairly new and recent and tends to go away once the circuits and speaker are pressed into work mode....

Anyone here with experience with Magnatone amps and what to check for at this point ...
Except for the speaker ( replaced in 74 ) the amp is all original, albeit slightly Dog-eared.

Thanks ahead of time .....

Aging electrolytics in the filter-cap array are the likely culprit.
