My guess is as clean as that one is, it won't go for under $1K...I would be shocked if it did :!: :!:

He says the reverb buzzes when being used. No wonder with the broken sheild and insulator on the reverb foot pedal connector. At least he was honest enough to show that photo.

Dang, $600 is a very good price. To fix the buzz seems like a simple deal.

Even, a plain old Princeton that works well at $600 is a good price. Esp if the circuit is more so less virgin. :D

That's criminally low - if it goes for under $800 someone got a very, very good deal...

It sold for $743.99 + $60 for shipping = $803.99. Your estimate was very close. :)

I'm using a Sylvania 12AT7 as a driver in my '65, with a Western Electric (GE) 12AX7 in the recovery stage.

Art, think black plate GW 12AT7 will be fine. You do need a good, TOUGH 12AT7 type for this job. One that can handle 10mA RMS current flow through the cathode.

The best I've found are the triple mica Sylvania 12AT7WA. Or the Valvo 6201.

But in general, the NOS 1950-60s era black plate 12AT7 are very good tubes.
