I was at a friends gig last night when a burning smell was detected on his side of the stage.
he is using a Blues Deville 4 x 10's.
The valves were glowing and the amp was still producing sound but smoke was coming from the back of the amp.
There was a pro jnr lurking about so he plugged into that and got through the gig.
he is putting it in the shop today but I wondered if anyone could venture a guess as to the issue.
Cheers,

Too much current and/or unstable amp = toasted resistors. That would be my guess.
