Hi guys, I have been taking my Super out and about, and I want to ditch the casters and put some feet back on it. I think I want the metal glider type feet, but I would be fine with rubber too. The amp is heavy enough for me to use a folding hand truck and some straps. (I'm 43 and gear gets heavier very year ha ha). I can't use a hand truck with the casters on the amp. I don't use the casters except as I don't want to shake the amp up by rolling it and I also don't want it to tip over as it's top heavy on casters.

I need the whole kit with screws & everything. Where would you suggest I get these, and which type do you guys prefer if either?

Oh, follow up question.....is there metal reinforcement inside the handle on a super reverb? Do you trust the handle on this amp to actually pick it up?

Fender no longer sells vintage glides as accessories. You'll need aftermarket types from Ernie Ball or one of the other repro parts producers. About ten bucks on Ebay. The glides Fender uses on their contemporary models are huge and resemble miniaturized stainless-steel bagels.

You'll find a spring-steel strap inside your amp's handle -- it's of more than sufficient strength to support the amp when suspended. In nearly fifty years I've never seen one fail (unlike the leather suitcase types and the rubber dogbone styles).

Nedster...Mojotone makes some very good quality amp glides too. I just installed a set on my second Bantam rebuild. There seems to be no difference between these and the Ernie Balls Arjay recommended. I used a set of EB's on my first build and tried the Mojo's on my second, and BOTH are great subsitutes for the originals!

+1

Ernie Ball's vintage corners and glides are likely made by the same vendor who produced the originals for Fender "back in the day". However, I keep a small stock of the genuine Fender parts on hand for those clients who insist on them for their restorations and are willing to pay the premium upcharge......

I was able to get some Fender glides from Darren Riley's in NC. They were only 8 bucks and I received them in 2 days. I just completed the install and I love it. Now I can hand truck this amp and also make use of the tilt back legs. I think the glides improved the tone LOL! I know every time I post I say this....but I love this amp! I don't know how I lived without it?
