OMG!!

I would LOVE to shoot that thing !! What is it and is it a full auto?

I guess since you are in Arizona you are allowed to own one of them ?

I have a little Ruger Mini-14 with a couple of (pre-ban) 30 round magazines.

My Para does hold 15 rounds with the extended base pad and I have 5 (pre-ban) magazines

Maremont M-60 general-purpose machinegun -- 7.62mm NATO, 550 rpm.

No home-defense arsenal should be without one.

I thought it was an M-60.

I hate California and it's gun laws. If I can ever get out from under my upside down house, I'm moving. :x

If the house next door to yours ever comes available, let me know, I'd like to move next door

I'm feeling left out here fellas

15 years as an auto parts store manager / territory sales manager left me flat on cars racing etc.....
I do remember fondly my uncles 70's Datsun 280Z That would outrun my Yamaha
in the 1/4 mile

You would think in ten years of being a Bail Agent / Recovery Agent I would have fun weapons too, a couple shotguns (pump variety) and a lowly Ruger in 40 S&W
some plink'n 22's

However I do have a really cool Bandmaster Reverb that looks a bunch like your Showman

Welcome aboard !

blues bondsman

Thanks for the welcome.

This thread did kinda get off subject :) I don't mind if nobody else does.
I know what you mean about the Z Cars. They have a long history. Since 2004 I have owned four of them. I still have 2, both 1990s. The twin turbo with 38,000 miles and an 2+2 NA (non-aspirated - no turbos) with 254,000 miles on it.

Like guitars, guns can be some very expensive toys. As long as you enjoy what you have, that's what counts.

Actually, my amp did start out as a Bandmaster-Reverb. I bought it in 1970 and ended up switching to playing bass. So, I bought some Fender 15" bass speakers and installed them in the Bandmaster cabinet. Used the amp that way until 1976 when I picked up the Showman-Reverb amp. It does look almost exactly like the Bandmaster amp except for the name change. As soon as I get the amp back from repair, I'll post a picture of the whole thing. I'm amazed when I realize my amp (cabinet at least) is 42 years old  As I learned from the knowledgeable guys on here, my amp is a 1968 - 44 years old.

Only problem is, that at my age moving that puppy around is not near as easy as I remember. I never was "easy" though. :) I do have a wheeled dolley that I made for it.

Arjay

I wanted to ask you about the 6L6 tubes in my amp. Before I got on the Fender Lounge I was looking on-line for tubes and on one site the ad stated that 6L6 tubes should be mounted in matched pairs.

In this photo, it is obvious that my (2) 6L6s on the left side are not matched but the (2) on the right are matched.

Image

Should I have matched pairs in all the 6L6 sockets ?

Thanks

Jerry

You can usually find matched quads on Ebay and elsewhere. For a good-sounding, reasonably-priced set of output bottles I recommend the Electro-Harmonix 6L6EH or Sov-Tek's hardy 6L6GC. Your amp will require biasing to spec after installing any new output glass.

Arjay,

Thanks for the info and fast response.

What does "biasing to spec" mean in terms of having my tech guy do the chore ?

Should I have him replace the all the 6L6 tubes ?

Note that I haven't heard anything from him yet, it is kinda early and I don't know his workload.

[quote="BMW2002Ti"]jmallard, I used to re-do BMW 2002. And had a nice 2002Ti (normal aspiriation with dual Weber side draft carbs). Nice midrange torque. Great for Gymkhana and Slaloms.

Beemer...that is one CLEAN engine compartment...I am a fanatic about keeping both vettes engines clean...nice looking car! I don't think in the 11 years I spent in Germany I ever saw a 2002ti that clean and nice looking!!!!

+1!

Think about the worst-case "apocalypse" scenario imaginable......

You got food, I got a gun.

Guess who eats?
