Speaking of NP Motor-Run caps, if anyone is interested in building a STOUT PS (esp for bass use) --- I got some Mallory 35mfd/330 Volt (RMS, 500 VDC electrolytic rating) oil filled cans. Beileve me, these kick ANY electrolytic cap. Ok, from size of can compared to 5Y3WGT... well ... Weight = about 5 pound each. Free! Minus shipping.

Perfect stocking stuffer!

Actually, only 4. The others can be spares just in case. They can stay in the cardboard box and I'll just run 8 gauge battery cable over to the amp. Should work OK.

You can make a cool combination guitar amp/high frequency induction welder.

I'd bet that Uncle Ted would be interested in such a device to make his own shotgun barrels for his guitars.

I know what you guys mean. But, there nothing like the clean tone of a MR cap. Here's a couple of photos of a DIY WE single-ended amp. Just goes to show you how BIG these crazy transmitter tubes are.

Love that red RCA metal 5693 front-end tube.
