I have a silver face Twin Reverb reissue...about late 70's, early 80's. It makes really loud air noise when I turn it on, and the reverb sounds like a bee buzzing when I use it.
Anybody have any ideas on what the problems might be?

Hi stringergirl,

It could be a tube issue(s). You might want to start by getting a new 12AX7, and a new 12AT7. Use the new tubes to substitute into their respective positions, one position at a time, to see if the problem(s) can be eliminated.

If tubes don't solve it, then its most likely due for filter caps or other worn components
I has a blackface Bassman that sounded like that and it was an old carbon comp resistor that has absorbed humidity over the years and was sizzling like bacon by the time I found it, Drove me crazy for a week or so.

If your not ready for such surgery and tube replacement isn't the answer its time to find a tech.
