It went for 630. That's less than a new reissue goes for. It looks like the transformer has been replaced though.

The same guy had a second one up with original tranny's but a replaced pan and it sold for 500. I guess you can still find some deals on ebay.

That was a sweet lookin' unit & right in our neighborhood too.

I wasn't able to get a winning bid under 500. for one, no matter what era, so I
really looked into the VanAmps Spring unit. Got a tweed one (studio used) on
the bay for the $250. they seem to go for.
I am very pleased with the sound in front of the '65Bandmaster.
It's not a Fender but boy it sure is lush and
the feature of plugging in the tremolo is pretty neat.

Yeah it was in mass somewhere. I was going to message him and ask, but the auction was closing down by the time I saw it. Are you near boston vinscag? I feel like they're aren't a lot of vintage amps up this way. They are hard to find on craigslist and the shops around here dont carry a lot either. Got any leads around here? Mouradian's seems to have the most consistant selection I've found.

There was a '64 or '65 6G15 for sale on the Phoenix C/L a couple of weeks ago. From the few pics, it didn't look bad but it did have a replacement tank. The seller was asking $550.

s3mamill, yeah north of Boston, over the bridge in Lynn.
In earlier days Cambridge & Boston was the mecca for all that was vintage.
I got my Firebird at the ol' EU Wurlitzers (in town) then,
Voice of The Theatres from All Sound & if I remember correctly,
in your town.
The only real Brick & mortar I can suggest is Bill's Music in Peabody.
He's rebuilding a 60s BF Bassman for me now while I sell some non-vintage
stuff.
I must say that I did luck out with my newly acquired '65 Bandmaster on EBay.
I had a watch list a mile long for well over 2 years.
Even the "crap" finished in the $700.range & I just lucked out winning this one
for just under $500.!!!
Arjay got the right approach too with The Phoenix (and those ads always seem to
be in your backyard)

Good luck on the hunt!
Vin
