This is my first post and I need help dating an amp I picked up. It's had a hard life but it still sounds amazing. I think it might be a 54 but I'm not sure. Anyone have a better idea? What should I be looking for? Serial number 5317 on the tube chart. It also has 6sc7 listed on the tube chart but that number has been crossed out. 12ax7 has been written down in ink instead. It has two Jensen P10r ten inch speakers. Not sure if it is the date code but 220315 is a number on both of the speakers. It also has push/ pull switches for the standby and power. Not your typical toggle switches. Any info will be greatly appreciated. I would post pics if I knew how to....lol.

The "220315" stamped on your speakers indicates that Jensen was the vendor and they were made in the 15th week of either 1953 or 1963 (differences in the speaker's label and frame color can narrow that down). The tranny P/N's and EIA codes will be more useful than speakers in determining the amp's age.

I'll take a look any number on the tranny's. I will have to drop the chassis in order to get at them. Thinking about sending it down to George Weber from Kendrick Amplifiers for some work. It works and sounds great but it wouldn't hurt. The cab needs most of the work. Someone had painted it. Most of the paint has chipped off though.
