Not that I have the money to buy it this week, but this seems like a reasonable price, Would need NOS tubes though.

Art,

Seems like a nice one. I put CTS alnico 10-inchers in mine. The amp is a real sweet-heart. You can dial it in to sound like a bigger Deluxe Reverb. The circuit has a browner tone than most Fender dual 6L6GC amps I've played. But, you can also cranked it and twirl knobs to get a Tele really twanging away. Very flexible.

Weight is just a little above the DR. So, it's portable.

Good luck!

Yeah, I know. I thought some of the collectors might be interested since most are going for well over 2 grand.

Never really thought of any Fender amp as "colllectibles" (like porcelain figurines). But, then I guess their guitars are sometimes in that same catagory. Like Paul Allen (of Microsoft) owning 18 guitars owned by Jimi Hendrix, at one time-or-another. And Allen doesn't know how to tune the things, let alone play them.

The VLR is a tone monster. I've played on ones owned by others, over the years. But, never realized how flexible they are, until owning one. If you do get one, you may want to search for a pair of CTS alnico 10-inch speakers. Trully, a marriage made in Heaven. And NO, it does not have a mini-Super Reverb tone. Much more bluesy. Esp at volumes below "6."

You know what I mean. There are those who play nothing but vintage amps. If I could afford it, I would be in that herd.
