Though labeled Kinkless-Tetrode, really is a variant of the 6L6GC beam tetrode. Kinda nice video of possible cause of death of an output tube. And the various grids.

Very interesting.

I've been contemplating opening up the JJ 6L6GC that failed in my BDRI and took out the screen resistor. Might be worth a look see.

Ends up the fried spot on the YT video is not that uncommon in bigger output tubes made these days. Due to control or screen grid drooping after heating up and tocuhing the cathode. FWIW...

Phenomenom called "Cooper's Droop."
