I'll post a picture or two eventually, my employer blocks photobucket. You guys saw it back in May when I purchased it, though. I was under the name howardken52.

I remember now -- why the log-in change?

Here's some photos of the guts of a non-verb SF Princeton I worked on about 6 months ago. Exciting isn't it?

These amps are worthy of one thumbs up, for sure!

I changed my name for a few reasons. Mostly because people were calling me Howard like it was my first name, and it's not, it's my last name. Plus "littleboyblue52" has a nice ring to it. Don't you think? It goes with m Sonic Blue Strat, my favorite color on a Strat.

Anyway, here's a few shots of my princeton:

Very nice amp! Yeah, GZ34 rectifier! And CTS speaker (date seems reasonable, 13th week 1964).

BTW... not to spoil the fun, but you may want to look at those paper covered bypass & bias supply caps for "pimples" and leaks. Like the ones in the photo, on the sides of the caps. If you see them, may want to consider replacing them.

Bypass cap ares not as critical as power supply caps or cap can. But, can affect the tone.

The Bias supply cap can affect output tube life, as well as tone.

Have fun with the amp!

Yeah Arjay, break in should always be considered when rendering an opinion, and I have no idea how many hours that relatively new Weber I inherited has on it. I re-learned this lesson yesterday when finding a 1972 DR with a 12" Weber (~60hours) in it. That DR sounded fantastic and I am scheming to get it. But will still leave that old Em in the Deluxe nonverb because it sounds so great.

Littleboyblue52...your "NL" Princeton is a brother to mine (also NL) so born in December 64! Can't believe they had at least 27 production runs of these during Dec 64...mine is from early 64 and yours a bit later on. Wow...And it sure is clean

Enjoy your "Porch Weasal" and by all means crank that Strat through it :!: :!: :!:

And both of them are pesky kid brothers to my '64 Pro Amp, also shipping from Fullerton in December.

Leo actually touched mine.

Daaamn Arjay, I knew you were detail oriented, but don't you think dusting your amps for fingerprints is going just a bit too far :!: :!:

All pre-CBS gear should be examined in the interest of "forensic evidence".

There's no telling what kinds of historical nuggets the CSI's will discover.
