62 Telecaster Custom, paid for by sales of stuff I no longer use on eBay... Just got it home after having it wired more modern (ie neck, both, bridge) vs. the period-correct wiring.

Very happy guy!

Congrats! I love the feel of the rosewood fretboard, too.

Teles are one of my most favorite Fenders. FWIW...

Thanks all! sounds great, and it's from selling odds and ends -- 4-track cassette recorder, memory cartridge from a synth I no longer have, or the odd, rusted tilt back leg that came with my Bandmaster cabinet:

It all adds up.

Your new Bandmaster combo cab prolly needs the 19-inch legs anyway......

Nedo...that is one fine looking guitar! Should provide some serious twang through the BM Combo!

Arjay - the bandmaster combo in the picture has the 19" legs already; the leg I'm talking about is off of that Bandmaster cabinet I'm running with the showman that appeared to be a '64 or '65 cabinet. The one leg that came with it was pitted, but does have the patent number on it, so it might be original, but who knows...

Thanks!

We're playing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Saturday October 6th. Our warmup show is free, and we'll be playing at 4:15. Evening finals + dinner is a pretty steep $125 a ticket (not from us, from the Hall of Fame).

More info and band photos, etc. at

www.facebook.com/thetoysband

thanks for asking!

Ouch. I sure some of that $125 is tax deductible. I was thinking about trying to head up.

I'm in the Dayton area..... Cleveland is 3 1/2 to 4 hours away. Unfortunately I have plans the following weekend - so two weekend trips in a row is about impossible. My architecture practice is going gonzo and I am working weekends just to keep up. I have friends in Cleveland.... I'll have to let them know.

Totally understand - it's a far drive and the price is kinda high. We will post video/audio on our facebook page after the event. Off to rehearsal with the new Tele to introduce it to my pedalboard and Showman!

Mona - all except $200 paid for from gear sold on eBay over the past 2 years. Feels great to have the guitar and even better to be rid of all that junk!
