I love how that Twin Reverb eyelet board is shoehorned in there!

Orange gumdrops, anyone!

The sad part is the guy may think he did a good job.

There are so many schematics and ebay pics of amps,
it's so easy to convert an amp to Hoffman cloth wire in a
day.

I would be afraid to power that thing up.

You know, I think that anyone doing a DIY has an obligation to Leo, to do his best. It's not that difficult. And the rewards are worth it. Both tone and long life. IMHO.

nice job on the 68k's on the inputs w/shielded wire, That's what I call a real Deluxe Reverb.

That SpookGetty amp on fleabay is full of fleas.

Seriously, who would sell that. I would be so embarrassed.
I would part it out and sell it that way.

I don't know. But I kind of like it. Spurious leads! How cool ? At $300, I'd consider it. Seriously, if the trannies are good, a rebuild would be worth it. Art

Bluesky, very nice job on your project.

As for that EBay ad... I REALLY dislike fixing up other ppl's messes. I guess I got that from my Dad, who would get basket case cars, into his shop. You know the ones, that had more parts still in various boxes, than actually in the car.

The last basket case amp was a Peavey Classic 30. If anyone ever looked at the guts of one of these things --- you know what a potential rat trap the thing is. Finally, got all the post market "hot-rod" crap parts off the amp and restored it to OEM (minus a few broken tracings and side jumpers---- UGH! )

Could never get the four EL84 to a steady bias. Ended up putting in a separate breadboard, with its own PS supply for the bias. Full wave-bridge chip and two bias pots-- one for each push-pull pair opf EL84.

Notice the TWO horizontal areas loaded with JP's? The stupid board is BENT at 90-degree angle at these points -- to form a box-like arrangement. Even though the cab has PLENTY of room for a single flat PCB board.

Yes, you have to CAREFULLY straighten out the folded boards to replace or fix parts. With cheap 20 gauge steel wire jumpering the mess, you can imagine what fun it is working on this masterpiece. :(

Never again...
