Paper, not to be a stick-in-the-mud ---- but there is a potentially toxic component on your chassis. The bias suppply circuit has a Selenium Diode for rectification. If this should pop, you may have issues.

I'd replaeced it with a UF4006. Note polaity,

______________

Thanks for the note,

When I was younger I had a collection of 2002's, most had ported dual webbers and a couple of Tii's. Fun cars, do you still have one?

The amp has a 4007 in it, I put it inside the yellow cloth wire and only the black diode is showing. I put the wires around the sel-rec so it looks stock.

I usually cut the old filter cap, bypass cap covers off and slide them on the new Sprague Atom caps for the ascetics. Almost all my tweeds have the brown paper Astron covers on them. I have about 200 NOS yellow Astrons for my restorations, all the important values, .02/600v .1/400v, .1/200v and .05/200v .02/200v for the old guitars. The yellow Astrons sound very similar to the old Bee's and I have a pair in one of my Les guitars and an old Strat. I put a .027/200 in a strat and it brightened it up a little, nothing dramatic but they sound better than the ceramic .05. I use .047 and .05/200 in my other guitars. I don't alter my vintage collector guitars soldering joints. I use old Kester 44 solder from the 1950s
because it has a much small rosin bleed on the joints. I solder the eyelet boards from the back.

+1

The only example I've ever seen that was cleaner was a brand new Twin Reverb, sitting on a showroom floor.

In 1966.

Paper, venturing into a the Dark Side of OT:

Ran Weber and Solex side draughts. 9.3:1 Mahle. Alpina struts and Miler/Norburn bars. Varied between pre-set Konis and air adjustable Bilstein. Pretty neat little pocket rocket. I'm imagine kinda like a EVO (minus the 300BHP).

My prized posession was real Recaro seats and boxed arms pieces with BMW Teile Nummer (Woopee)! Should were fun the Gyhkanas and motoring around 25-95mph on the road.

A friend has a BRAND new NOS 1972 Turbo 2002Tii (the kinda that cane with a reversed logo in the chin). Never driven it. I don't see has either.

Wow,

That is one incredible ride. Mine never looked like that.
The Bilsteins is all I use and I had a Ti that orange color.
I can tell how much work went into that car. I seldom see 2002's anymore on the road. BBS's back then.
Very cool car. I bet it sounds loud.

all the best,

That's the most beautiful cab I've ever seen. Why does no one make these? And where can I get one?
