This is quite possibly the cleanest condition 1966
Twin Reverb with the rare D131F JBL Speakers.
A S.O. Special Order amp, has the original tubes, cover,
F/S, papers and box. These amps are very rare to find
in any condition with the D131F JBL Speakers. The grillcloth
is minty, never seen water. The inside cab wood-stain looks
factory new, keeping the amp covered stopped it from aging
black like most BF amps.
The chassis was removed once to take these photos.
This amp is a true museum piece and you may never see another one like it.
The first JBL D120F speakers were made in Aug of 1966,
so any amp before Aug of 1966 should have the D131F speakers.

Is there a question here?

That's very nice. Do you own it? If so how did it end up with you?

Rob,

I got the amp from the original owner back around 1984 and I knew it was a good investment back then.

I played the amp recently to keep the caps active.
Filter caps all test and work well, no blisters or issues.
I play this amp maybe 4-5 times a year.

Most of the good amps like this seldom change hands.

Condition is everything.

Very nice amp . I see some Telefunken preamp tubes.

Be sure the red and black terminals on the speakers are not loose. Keep them tight but not too much

JBL's speaker terminals are spring-loaded. They may occasionally be abused and broken but they seldom work their way loose.

Yeah, you press down on the button which lines up two holes (one in the spring-loaded sliding collar, the other in the fixed barrel), insert the tinned speaker wire, then release the button which locks the lead in place.

Wow similar to my old JBL 4312B Studio Monitors! I guess if it works it works!

Indeed. I think all of JBL's "old-school" professional products (ie: Made-In-USA) used a similar arrangement. My L100A's from 1972 have the same type of terminals.

WOW!!! What a beauty! There's no way that amp is 46 years old!

How much?

Cedar...I am not sure "WOW" covers it! Looks nicer than a brand new TRRI off the line!

Too Cool!

I really enjoy my old Fenders, my player Twins are set up with the Celestion Gold speakers, these amps are really special. The tone is enhanced with the Celestions vs. The old Jensen P12N.
This is the amp I played tonight.

Enjoy that TR. My TRRI with K120's SCREAMS

BTW... ALL JBL Pro and Consumer level components, x-overs, cab had that srping loaded red and black posts. Even A Paragon I helped restore in college.
