Hi Loungers,

A few days ago Retroverbial (Arjay), demaria.daniel, and Rebelsoul (Rick), all responded helpfully to a topic I initiated. Ret and Reb asked for amp porn of the two units discussed then. So this topic is the first of 3 to post today. The last of the 3 will be a "what is this speaker?" query.

Found this amp in Craigslist. Had hardly heard any brownface live, am now a brown fan. 3 things I really like about this rig.
- thick midrange tone for jazz rhythm guitar
- favorite tremolo I have ever heard
- the versatility of the presence control. Fender bright switches have never got me worked up, and the presence on the Hot Rod Deluxe was so harsh. The presence on the Super dials down for the brown tone and up to sort of blackface the sound.

Like the #2 inputs on both channels better. I hope the photos are enjoyable.

Chartman...That is one sweet looking amp and clean like nobody's business! I too am a Super Reverb Fan, but alas I only have a 65 Blackface Super Reverb. Again nice amp!

Love the Super!
You're right about the sound,I'm not a fan of bright switches, the Presence is a lot more versatile and the tremolo is luscious.
I'm a huge Brown Fender fan,for so many years they seem to have been largely overlooked, but in recent years they have been getting the credit they deserve for being great sounding amps...not just a bridge between Tweeds and Blackface amps.
Here's my '60 Super.
