Originally Oxford 12T6, Utah 12", Rolad 12" or Gauss 12" were used during this timeframe. The earlier backface Twin Reverb used Jensen C12N or Oxford 12T6. The Oxfords are no longer manufactured as far as I know and the only way to get original ones, if you can find them, would be through auction places online. However, Jensen does produce the C12N and it's a very good sounding speaker especially if you're looking for that Fender sound. I have a pair of Jensen C12N in my blackface 1966 Pro Reverb and they sound great.
