Had a nice easy night at work, and got to spend some time cleaning the amps. Followed the advice(thanks Arjay and T2) they cleaned up pretty well I must say, even got the painted cat paws off the bassman. Bandmaster was very grimy. I also painted the rusty parts for the handle, and the metal strips on top that the chassis screws go in, as the crome was gone on those. The bassman also had a mess under the cloth, wood was very soft and spongy, so I removed the cloth, and bathed it in soapy water while I cut a new piece of wood. I'll post pics tomorrow, too tired after a 12 hour shift.

Same here, selling and buying on CL... I guess folks in FL are much nicer than out west

  haha - the Wild Wild West.
Near where I live is "The Triangle of Death".
Draw lines directly from
1) The inner-city Sunnyside 'hood of San Francisco, to
2) Richmond City, to
3) Oakland City
Try playing Bruce Springsteen or Led Zeppelin or The Beatles in those cities

Do not leave your guitars amps or PA equipment in your van,
Do not let your car break down on those freeways,
Do not miss an exit and turn off into a bad neighborhood.
No Milkman, No Fuller Brush Man, No Ice Cream Man, No Mail Man
No UPS or FedEx Man, No Policeman, No Fireman, No EMT or Ambulance Person;
Nobody looks forward to: . . . . "The Triangle of Death" :!: :!: :!: :!:
SF Giants 49ers Oakland Raiders A's Warriors all have WWWest shoot outs.
Nobody without an army of protection walks these streets, day or night.
Wild Wild West. Wanna buy a Craigslist guitar in the Triangle of Death?

I'm moving to Florida . . . So I can buy guitars on Craigslist.

I craigslist all the time I just use common sense and I too have met some really nice people..the kid I just bought my bass from was a wonderful kid!..I had fun watching him drive around the walmart parking lot where I met to get the guitar..I do not believe he was looking for a "Mature" woman to be buying a bass haha! I am also smart enough to never go to someones house without dragging Hubby or Son in Law along.

Cedar...Nice. I have checked out quite a few of the Iguana vids on youtube. The Five Long Years one is one of the best! Thanks.

I got to find a reason to head to Tampa for a Monday Night Jam 8)

Better to take "Smith".

Or his son "Wes".

Or both.

Nah, I think you're better off staying over there... don't forget we get lots of hurricanes here and it's way too hot and humid! I don't know why anyone would want to move here!

"Creepy" indeed!

Sounds like a pathetic call to The Dr. Phil Show......desperately waiting to be dialed.

On the positive, I went to buy a 1965 Ford Mustang.
At the door, the owner tossed me the keys and said go take it for a joy ride

Chris, I'm with you on dealing with different types of folks. Operated a semi in all the neighborhoods of Chicago. I was in construction, so I might spend a week or more in certain neighborhoods. Sure you got to watch your elbow, but I am thankful for that life experience, more than I care to talk about!!! Art

In my younger days during the 1980s,
I helped my grandfather one summer working on his various Oakland
apartment units. Must have had 30(+) units over seven Oakland locations.
Mind you, Rap & Hip Hop was full under way in the 1980s.

Well, Grandpa said that his tenants may be late with the rent,
but ALL had Season tickets to the Oakland Raiders and drove BIG Cars.
No money "fo' nothin' else" :!: :!: :!:
