It never hurts to remind us less than technical types ! 8)

The magnet on that Tonker weighed twice what the others did Seriously heavy speaker !

I hope to find a C-Rex soon to sit in with the Tonker, I really miss mine ! and I'm absolutely done with E-bay as a seller and a buyer !!!
So..... it may take a while to find a bargain.

You get what you pay for.

And as Confucius said......

"If the quality is long remembered, the price is soon forgotten."

Hey Arjay....I want to ensure I understand your comments. Early in the thread you recommended Jensen C12n's, but not the reissues. Now, this comment seems to suggest that C12n's are not quality speakers.

So, to be clear, you are recommending I avoid the modern C12n's, as they are low quality. Correct?

I loathe and detest all of the imported Jensen re-issue loudspeakers.

That's my opinion. It may be shared by others but not necessarily so.

For the same reasons that compelled you to buy a 36-year old Bandmaster Reverb in lieu of a brand-new Bandmaster VM.

Hah! Well, I understand your meaning completely. Although, that's not why I bought the Bandmaster. I was in college and needed an amp for a band I was joining. The other guitarist suggested I consider buying the Bandmaster from him, as "it was just a crappy old amp". In fact, I traded a $100 Ovation-electric for the Bandmaster. This was in 1990.

Thank you very much for your opinion and help.

I'll focus back on the Celestions, Kendricks and others.
