Hey Folks!!! Can we let this infighting go down the drain? This is a public forum. Personal discussions aren't appropriate. Consider the young man or woman, viewing this forum. Would you ask a simple question, if it looked like you'd get your head cut-off? We are all responsible for this enviornment! Art

you can zero in on one poster as the root cause of all this flack
how this poster conducted himself that brought it on
erred by creating a thread that should have been posted elsewhere
decided to be the arrogant AH and get people riled up
I worked to help turn things around and it helped a little
when you see through the "veil of deceit laid down"
he groups us all as a bunch of cranky old guys
for some jack to come in here and post in an intentionally aggravating way to incite controversy

Arky. We are different. Is that OK?
IMHO, you like things set one little tiny way that you can see and understand.
IMHO, you try to fit the world into your little square framed picture.
IMHO, you think you are perfect and all problems you have must be caused by others. Poor little Arky.

IMHO, if you do not like something, you are the first to shout out.
You are a major contributor. You have no self-control, IMHO.

Remember the “veil of deceit” laid down in the Zinky article?
Your narrow mind, and four other tiny developing brains were thinking:
“OMG!! Zinky is AFTER 1985!!! Disaster lol. Right?
That darn rule breaker posted something intolerable on the wrong site.
But, did you read it? Did your mind “understand” it was about Zinky’s early life influences
that drove him to develop & design great amps? It was all about Zinky BEFORE 1984.
Wow! Did that set you off?

You worked so hard to turn things around. You perfect person. “Bunch of cranky old guys”.
Typed words can aggravate you. Wow. When will you learn to control yourself?

Anyway, believe me, I do not start a thing. Never have.
But, sometimes I respond. I am seriously working on that.
See how nice I treated you in response towards your tremendous output of insults and opinions.

Remember. We are different. We think different. Do I comment negatively towards your posts?
Oh, that’s right! You make no errors. There is nothing you do that is incorrect. Gosh darn.
Guess what? Perfect or not ~ make errors or not ~ cause problems or not ~ whatever it is you do,
I just stay away from you and just try to be social and nice. Compare my niceness to your opinionated
and selfish comments. Guess you win. You are meaner.

Arky. This is a forum to share and discuss ideas and opinions and experiences and help and
support and encouragement. Right. Arky, lets have some fun. When there is something you do not
agree with, instead of reacting, try “inquiry”. Find out what is possible. Make an effort to think in another way.
You are reactive, is that good? Another of our fellow members is “quick to anger”, is that good?
Does being reactive or quick to anger make you a nice guy or a jerk?
We all can improve. I am having a blast improving.
I truly read all of your printed text, try to understand the context and underlying focus.
I really try to apply or will try to apply the good. I ignore the negative comments from unhealthiness.

OK. Take care. Have a nice day. I am off to work. Luv ya ~ Toppscore

Wow. The only accurate line in the whole post above is this "Remember. We are different. We think different."

Everything else you wrote is mostly or entirely false. I guess that's where we think differently.

Naw,this stuff happens sometimes with certain people.....there's a big difference between collectors and musicians, some folks here use the vintage amps they own to make cool music...Toppscore falls into the collector category imho....and seems to like owning rare amps that probably stay at home,at least that's the way I take it since he's never showed us pics of most that he claims to own or of him playing through them.
but what do I know,he might be someone famous and we might have heard those rare vintage amps on CD's we spend our hard earned money on....who knows since he likes the mystique of it all I think.
As for me,I'm a working weekend warrior of the gritty club scene in the roadhouses of the South,my amps smell like smoke and sometimes fried grease smoke, with residue of sweat and blood and beer....the very thing that some people call "mojo" and that's something that a collector or his pristine collection doesn't get to experience, they have to let others do it for them and then get to brag about the amp and it's "mojo" when they tack a high price on it.
That alone puts the two opposing forces into conflict, because "vintage" collectors have put the tools of the musician's trade out of the working man's price range...but at least the true musician can release the music from his soul with the instruments he has at his disposal, even Eric Clapton created a world reknown instrument he pieced together from the parts of three Strats he bought in my area,Nashville Tennessee.
Collectors can never do that....it takes a real musician.

Rem, this isn't consistent with the vintage amp forum. We all look at life differently at different times. What we have to share with one another is greater than some myopic condition. Most folks here are passionate about their amps(and guitars). So emotions can run high. Bear with us and you'll find this to be a very helpful and welcoming forum. Art

You know... isn't it all about tone? Riffing with friends? Making music? Really not all that complicated.

I guess "things" can slip into a Reality Show. Drama and all. :D

OK... meanwhile back at the Ranch.

Cream will rise to the top, eventually.

RebelSoul is too cool of a guy to take anything the wrong way from.
Wishing RebelSoul the best. We should all learn the written word
can easily be misconstrued. It goes both ways and I apologize.

Love RebelSoul's guitar playing in that video.
He has a sound/tone that I really like. What is your setup?
Humbuckers and that 2x10 1960 Super Amp? Pedals?
And, I am a huge Robin Trower fan, so that tone is way too cool.
Robin loved to play through the Fender Red Knob amps.
Maybe had a few modified for him.

Somewhere in the bay area's Castro district, a bath house is missing it's "fluffer".

Get back to work, cupcake!

Topp, WOW. Such angst! You know, maybe sit down & write a Blues ditty may help. We could help start the process...

" Last night, I posted my gear... but no one believed me. THEY JUST LAUGHED!...

Yeah, last night I posted my gear... but people: no one believed me. NO RESPECT!...

I was feelin' so bad, even my hand-wired VibroKing couldn't get me off. AND THAT'S BAD!!! "

Good Blues topic:

Simply just responding to RebelSoul's diatribe.
Do you like his Blues style as well.
Maybe a bit more instigative & bitter on his end.
But, I have retired from being reactive and am never an initiator.
You'd think the old 4330+ poster guy would learn. Who knows?

+1 You are right. Still figuring out that Zinky 1x15.

Cannot deny that clip if RebelSoul is on the Left.
Sounds like a slow Robin Trower with the vocals and band tones.
Good job. Nice sounds from that Strat. Too bad he got unfriendly.

How about George Harrison covering Carl Perkin's "Everybody's Tryin' To Be My Baby".
I was working on that one. Super oldie moldie, but I'm the world's greatest Rockabilly freak
Have 100s of RetroRockabilly, old skool Blasters, Robert Gordon styles
and all I can find from Buddy Holly to Cliff Gallup and James Burton.

Art, do you and your acoustics get electric?
What solid body electric guitars do you play?
What styles electric rock music do you enjoy most?
What makes your clock tick? Toppscore :)
