duineAnaithnid, very cool. Usually it is some simple fix on these amps. Lessons are: 1.) don't run long leads on gain stage, EFX, or PI tubes. You just ask for problems. And 2.) concertina or cathodyne phase inverters work a lot differently than long-tailed pairs.

One think I would do, before gigging, is check the anode plate voltages on the 6V6GT. And the idle bias current. Just to be sure they are in the ballpark (around 9-12 watts of dissipation per 6V6GT).
