Hallo guys
I'm new to the Forum, only signed up day before yesterday and would
appreciate any help I can get dating my Pro-Reverb amp. It has been
rather knocked about, not by me I hasten to add ! so I've decided to
give it a re-vamp. The numbers on the largest transformer is EIA60-750
and the other is EIA606-017. The pots are marked R13778447 and the
chasis is stamped A958464. As I said, any help would be more than
welcome

Based on your EIA606-750 number this is the newest of the two transformers. It means that EIA606 is the precurser for all transformers. The number 7 means 1967 and it was made in the 50th week. This does not accurately date the amp as this trasformer could have been an instock item used at a later date and the rule is to add 6 to 8 months for the date of the amps production. If your tube chart is intact it will have the actual date that the amp came off the production system and was deemed completed. I hope this helps

The serial number doesn't seem right. If it's a 1967 the serial numbers would fall between A07000 to A10200. It is a blackface, right?

I also wanted to add that if the amp still has the tube chart you'll see two letters stamped near the bottom. A 1967 will have the letter "Q" followed by another letter which indicates the month it was manufactured.

Hallo guys
Thanks for taking time to reply to my querie, it seems to me that it
is a mis-match of different years of manufactured components. The tube chart is still there but there is no date stamps on it. The number on the chasis (A958464) is actually stamped into the metal very clearly. I don't really think I'm going to get a result dating this amp, Oh, it is a
silver face panel by the way. once again, many thanks for your replies.

Hallo guys (again !)
I forgot to mention that on the actual reverb unit there is stamped in
ink (blue) like on the guitar necks for the date of 06 04 63, whether it
means anything I don't know.
