GTs are great tubes, they use EH ,Sovtek, Slovak tubes, depending on the type that you got.

Shim: can you tell who manufactured them by looking at the tubes? I dont see any marking indicating who made them.

Sometimes by the model number, and/or by looks. Can you post some pics?

I had EH's and for shucks bought a couple JJ's based on recommendation.

I think I like the EH better.

To make a bogus statement about new production 6v6's, have a couple of Canadian NOS Marconi GTY's on the way. Let you know how they sound. Art

Art, Shimmy, & Tyronne... here's a nice site with the original Russian manufacturer's logos. They can vary in size, And are usually low-viz gray or purple-gray to perhaps help hide it against inbound Nike clocking Mach 2.4.

Many times, relabelers didn't do that good of a job washing the old logos. Some are acid-etched.

I know these are not new production 6V6's, but wanted to mention these tubes. They are GE Canadian Marconi 6V6 GTY's, 1960-61 iteration. Thought they'd be kind of creamy. But they deliver a very clear production over the entire frequency range. When pushed they have a very balanced crunch(no flubb). Compared to Phillips GT JAN 1986 and GT 2005 S(aka JJ), the best discription is dimension and depth. Longevity is another consideration and the sound quality that results, over that time. Art

The DRRI is a great test bed for tubes. If they last in that amp, that is good testimony for their ruggedness. The TS are a bit warm for my taste, but great if you like the vintage type early breakup sound. The TS are made in the same factory as the EH and Sovtek (Reflector I believe), they should be darned good tubes.

Awesome website!
Helped me identify where the 12ax7s originally installed in my Bassman came from (Vokshod).
Thanks so much BMW for sharing that
