Besides the wattage and rectifier differences, any other big differences? Does the 6G9 circuit use a different tremolo than the AB763? There may be a blonde head in my price range that looks promising. I like the idea of a slightly lower wattage Fender with the rectifier sag, but then also would look to get a matching 2x10 cab down the line.

thanks!

The 6G9 uses bias modulation to create the tremolo effect , a la the Vibrochamp and Princeton Reverb.

About average for an AA/AB763 -- slightly better than average for a brownface, contingent up the amp's originality and cosmetic condition.

$716, but with 9.25 sales tax so was too rich for me.

I have a 62 tremolux along with the cab, had it for almost 30 years. A great amp. The one for sale in the ebay ad said nothing about the originality of the trannies etc so they were probably replacements. That said, had there been more photos of the guts etc, it would have sold for more than 716 dollars. All original, imo it would have sold for over a grand.

Agree - the fact that there was limited info was what limited my bidding. If things are non-original fine, but then it needs to be priced accordingly.
