I've gotten a few deals on ShopGoodwill.com - that 1954 Quam 12" Speaker in the solid maple frame with a pine enclosure being the best. But it seems lately the bidding has gotten out of hand on some items. I bet this ends up going for guide or above and that's scary since Goodwill typically does not test or qualify their items, except to say sold "as is". So it can be a pig in a poke. You could end up paying full price for something that needs a lot of work. :(

I am actually watching a vintage japanese guitar @ Goodwill. I might pop in a bid at the end if it stays at the right price (below $50) It the exact Teisco model, different "brand" as my first electric. So its a sentimental issue..... not a rational decision.

Ahhh if only I had the cash. Funny how "lack of cash" keeps me from having so many many things.

LOC... lol

Wow - I'd say it did.

And just think 15 years ago you could have walked into your local Goodwill store and found this for a fraction of that. Their auction site is a good deal for Goodwill - tough on bargain hunters. I know a few antique dealers that use to do a lot of picking at Goodwill.

Well - I won that damn thing. I figure it will be the perfect thing to learn about DIY repair...... otherwise it might just be a wall hanger.

As the site has become more popular the bids have gone crazy!
Great for Goodwill, not so much for the bargain hunter.
