I saw this on CL and thought I would share I can not afford something like this at this time, more like never. I am not the seller nor do I know the seller just thought I would pass this on, as this is a vintage amp. I would love to own it though, or find one in an attic somewhere, just fantasizing

These early champs are a tough sell. Most people want the 5F1 and might take the 5E1 rather than the earlier incarnations. And its still Craigslist.... meaning everyone is looking for a bargain and not interested in paying retail. CL is the great yard sale of the internet. And I'm buying and selling on it all the time.

The last Champion 600 - (1951 or 52) - on the local CL didn't fly off the shelf too quickly. I think it started about $1K and eventually went below $700. This might be worth watching this amp.... the price might drop over time and it might get into a range your willing to spend. :D

Ain't worth $1400 to me. It's in pretty rough cosmetic shape too.

Check the production charts.
Less than 1100 1953 Champs made.
If truthful, the seller seems to have a fairly near-complete working original.
Should be worth something to somebody.
Are the 6" Champs popular?

+1

Pretty pricey for a one-trick pony.

Mud. Your green jealous went nowhere fast.

The amp was removed from Craigslist.

False advertising?
