Weren't the Fender Concert amps just phenomenal? I went into the Guitar Center store on Sunset in Nov 1982 looking for a Twin Reverb amp but instead was fortunate to discover the Concert amp. Just a great sounding amp which is still giving me tone and joy. I got the 1-12" version, passed on the 4-10" version which was available at the SAME price. Wish I had bought one of each!!

I have owned 4 of them, and currently still have 2 of the 1x12 combos. One from '82 and another from '84. Mine are modified some, but I am so attached to these amps they will be with me until I die. The tone is like nothing else.

Here's one example... Keep in mind I'm plugged straight into the amp and the speaker is mic'd...

I love my 83 112 Concert. Like the above post, I'll never get rid of it, and would like to collect a few more when finances allow. Killer amps.

I have one, too, and it's here to stay. Great tone, and the right size for almost anything.

Anyone who has one had better keep it, they are one of the best tube amps ever produced and will only get more valuable as time passes. I've owned or played on almost every Fender amp made over the past 48 years and the concert and super six are two of my favorite amps. My concert will be passed down to my grandsons

My experience with these amps is very limited. The sound was great, but I've never worked on one. Are these PCB based ? ART

This series was pretty much the last of the classic tagboard point-to-point wired Fender amps. The circuit is pretty messy though. But no PCBs here...

Yes, a lot. Quite the tangled web of wires actually...

Don't have a concert, but I do have a deluxe reverb II, got it to save my joints from hauling around my twin with JBL's. It's a great amp and I wish I would have bought a concert or even a twin II also back then when I had spare cash. I keep looking for them in area music shops but they're hard to find and the prices are high.
Smark that audio clip is great :D

I used to have two, but now only have a 1x12 '84 model. The tone is great on this amp, but it's been cosmetically beaten through years of steady gigging.

I'm looking at buying one of these. I've considered Champs and Blues Jr.s, but I'm just going to check it out and see how I feel about it.
What speaker would be in there if it's original? The guy said it's near mint and original, but I don't know much about them.
ANY help would be great, maybe some good pics. Please.
If I get it, it would be my first Fender amp.
Thanks in advance!

The original speaker could be one of two models. The stock speaker was a Fender labeled Eminence that frankly sounded pretty flat. Fender offered an upgrade at the time which was a huge ceramic magnet Electro-Voice which was excellent. I would replace the Eminence but the EV should never need replacing. Here's a pic and a write-up for one of my Concerts...

Thanks man!
Nice sound you've got there!
Although, I don't want to feel like I have to modify the hell out of an amp to get a great sound. You know what I mean? I understand swapping out speakers and such, I need to replace the one in my '65 Magnatone. We'll see what happens, I never heard back from the guy that's got it for sale, so maybe I missed out. That's okay, I'm still doing research.
Thanks again![/b][/i]
